Jaromir Jagr gives up 10 daily cups of coffee for Lent

The oldest player in the NHL is giving up coffee for Lent.

Jaromir Jagr announced as much to reporters Thursday.

The 44-year-old will take to the ice tonight with his Florida Panthers when they take on the Colorado Avalanche, a rematch of the 1996 Stanley Cup Final.

Jagr sits at 1849 points in his career, one shy of Detroit Red Wings legend Gordie Howe.

Unfortunately for Jagr, the game starts at 9 p.m. ET.
