Jets’ Adam Lowry out at least a month with upper-body injury

Chicago Blackhawks' Drake Caggiula catches Adam Lowry with a blindside interference hit that sends the Winnipeg Jets forward to the locker room with an upper body injury.

Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry will be sidelined for at least a month after suffering an upper-body injury in the team’s 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, coach Paul Maurice told reporters.

Lowry left the game in the first period after taking a hit from Blackhawks forward Drake Caggiula. The 26-year-old was slow to get up and went to the locker room in apparent discomfort.

Caggiula was given a minor penalty for interference on the play.

In 47 games with Winnipeg this season, Lowry has four goals and six assists.
