The Winnipeg Jets will be without defenceman Josh Morrissey against the Buffalo Sabres because of an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Morrissey has five goals and 29 points in 61 games for the Jets this season and is second on the team with 22:53 of ice time per game. Anthony Bitetto took Morrissey’s spot in the lineup.
Centre Cody Eakin will play in his first game with the Jets since being acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights for a conditional 2021 fourth-round draft pick.
