Jets’ Mathieu Perreault a game-time decision for Game 2 vs. Wild

Patrik Laine scored his first playoff goal and Joe Morrow notched the game-winner as the Jets defeated the Wild 3-2.

The Winnipeg Jets could be without forward Mathieu Perreault when they take on the Minnesota Wild for Game 2 of their playoff series on Friday.

Jets head coach Paul Maurice, when asked about his status, said the 30-year-old will be a game-time decision.

Perreault suffered an upper-body injury during the second period of Wednesday’s series opener after taking a number of heavy hits in what was a rough game, and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest after heading to the locker room. The team did not release any further details following the game.

The Jets won the game 3-2, the franchise’s first-ever playoff victory.

In 70 regular season games this year—his fourth with Winnipeg—Perreault registered 17 goals and 39 points.
