The Winnipeg Jets will be without Patrik Laine when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday due to a minor lower-body injury.

Laine — who is tied with Mark Scheifele with a team-high 13 points — is not expected to be out long term.

“He’s been dealing with this for about a week or so,” head coach Paul Maurice said before the game. “It just tightened up on him… so he’s day-to-day.”

With Laine out of the lineup, Kyle Connor will slot in to his spot on the top line and top power play unit with Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.

In other Jets news, defenceman Luca Sbisa will make his Winnipeg debut against the Ducks. The Jets claimed Sbisa off waivers from the Ducks last week after Anaheim had signed him to a one-year contract.
