Watch as Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault is forced out of Game 3 against the Flames after being on the receiving end of a crushing hit from Calgary's Sam Bennett.

Winnipeg Jets forward Matthieu Perreault left Game 3 against the Flames after getting drilled into the board by Calgary’s Sam Bennett, the team announced.

Perreault was hit by Bennett in front of the Flames’ bench during the second period despite not having the puck at the time. There was no penalty called on the play.

The Jets have had a string of injuries so far in their series with the Flames. In Game 1, both Mark Schiefele (leg) and Patrik Laine (arm) were injured and neither has played in the series since.

Earlier, Tucker Poolman was forced to briefly leave Game 3 after taking a puck to the face. He later returned to the game at the start of the third period with a full cage on his helmet.

Perreault had 7 goals and 15 points in 49 games this season.
