Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau was made a healthy scratch for the first time this season, as his team hit the ice for a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday.

The standout rookie went pointless in the first five games of the season, averaging 12:56 in ice-time, one shot and a plus-2 rating.

Forward Josh Jooris, who was recalled from the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League Thursday, made his NHL debut Friday. Jooris was called up after the team placed winger David Jones on injured reserve—retroactive to Oct. 9—with a lower-body injury.
