Jonathan Drouin scores first (and second) goal since return to AHL

Jonathan Drouin got right back into the swing of things as he assisted on the third goal for the Syracuse Crunch in his first game back following a dispute with the parent club Tampa Bay Lightning.

Last night, Jonathan Drouin returned to the hockey rink. Saturday, he scored a goal — his fourth of the AHL campaign.

Drouin recorded his first point last night with an assist in a 5-2 win for the Syracuse Crunch. Saturday, he scored with 0:33 remaining in the first period.

Later on, Drouin scored his second goal of the game.

Friday’s game was his first pro hockey game since Jan. 18 when he first refused to report to the Tampa Bay Lightning‘s AHL affiliate. He had requested a trade and GM Steve Yzerman tried to move the forward by the deadline, ultimately unable to find a deal.

The Crunch sit fifth in the North Division and are playing their 61st game tonight.
