L.A. Kings forward Jordan Nolan was suspended for two games without pay on Sunday for boarding Detroit Red Wings forward Darren Helm.
Nolan took a run at Helm at 3:53 of the third period in Detroit’s 5-2 win on Friday night, hitting him into the glass near the blueline in the Kings’ defensive zone. Nolan was given a minor penalty for boarding on the play. He’ll forefit $17, 073.18 in salary, according to the NHL’s department of player safety.
