If you don’t already have KHL fever, then you haven’t watched Metallurg Magnitogorsk’s bizarre new promotional video, starring “Iron” Mike Keenan as Vladimir Lenin.

The head coach, who is entering his third season behind the Metallurg bench, and his assistants appear as revolutionaries plotting to capture the Gagarin Cup — the championship trophy hoisted by Keenan in 2014.

Children playing hockey with scythes is a nice touch here.

The KHL season kicked off Monday, with defending champions SKA Saint Petersburg losing to CSKA Moscow 4-3 in overtime.
