Kings sign ex-Sharks defenceman Joakim Ryan to one-year deal

The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenceman Joakim Ryan to a one-year deal.

The club announced the contract, which is worth $725,000, on Monday.

Ryan, 26, has spent his entire NHL career to date with the San Jose Sharks‘ organization since being drafted by the team in the seventh round in 2012. He has appeared in 106 games with the NHL club over the past two seasons, registering three goals and 19 points. He also skated in 20 playoff games with the Sharks this past spring, registering one assist.
