The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed restricted free agent centre Maxim Lapierre, the Vancouver Sun and Vancouver Province are reporting.
The deal is believed to be for two years, worth $1 million per season.
The 26-year-old centre played for three teams in 2010-11 — first with Montreal, then Anaheim and finally, with Vancouver. During the Canucks’ playoff run this spring, Lapierre scored 3 goals and 5 points over 25 games.
Lapierre was originally a second round (61st overall) back in 2003 by the Montreal Canadiens.
