The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned forward Tyler Biggs and defenceman Jesse Blacker to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate Toronto Marlies, the team announced Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs’ training camp roster is now at 34 players, including 19 forwards, 12 defencemen and three goaltenders.

The organization drafted Biggs, 20, with the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 draft out of the University of Miami at Ohio, and then assigned the Loveland, Ohio native to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League last season.

Biggs played four AHL games last season for the Marlies, scoring one goal.

Blacker, 22, was taken 58th overall in the 2008 draft from the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, and has 28 points in 125 career games with the Marlies.
