The Hockey Central panel discusses the Maple Leafs sending Jake Muzzin to the AHL for a conditioning stint and why it's a good move for both Muzzin and the Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned defenceman Jake Muzzin to their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, on a conditioning loan, the team announced Thursday.

The 30-year-old suffered a broken foot after blocking a shot at the end of December.

Muzzin has posted three goals and 13 points in 38 games this season.
