Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews has switched agencies, moving from CAA Hockey to Orr Hockey Group.
Judd Moldaver, Matthews’ agent, made the jump, which prompted the 20-year-old to make the change.
As of July 1, Matthews can begin formal contract extension talks with the Maple Leafs. The 2016-17 Calder Trophy winner scored 34 goals and added 29 assists in 62 games for Toronto this past season.
Connor McDavid, who signed a an eight-year, $100-million deal in 2017, is one of Orr Hockey Group’s marquee clients.
