Leafs’ Auston Matthews thanks fans in Instagram post

The panel discusses the NHL taking action on Brad Marchand's licking, Toronto Maple Leafs' Mike Babcock meeting with Auston Matthews in Arizona, and what to be made of the GM situation in Toronto with both Kyle Dubas and Mark Hunter.

Auston Matthews didn’t have the playoff performance he would have liked, but he appreciates the love from the Toronto Maple Leafs faithful.

The star forward took to Instagram Sunday to thank Leafs fans for their support over the course of the season.

Matthews was limited to 62 games in his sophomore season, but still recorded 34 goals and 29 assists. He added one goal and one assist in the playoffs.

The Maple Leafs were eliminated by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the post-season after a hard-fought seven-game series.
