Leafs’ Lupul hounds Selanne’s autograph

Hockey stars, you may forget, are also hockey fans. They ask each other for sticks and autographs more than you might imagine.

No doubt, 43-year-old active legend Teemu Selanne is signing more than his share of sticks for opponents after announcing his farewell tour this season.

After the Sayonara Selanne circuit touched down in Toronto Tuesday, Maple Leafs star (and two-time Duck) Joffrey Lupul tweeted out an Instagram of an autographed stick he got from his former teammate.

“Never too old to be a fan! One more year? #theflash,” Lupul tweeted.

Selanne’s inscription reads:
TO LUPS
MY GOOD BUDDY
ALL THE BEST!
