The Toronto Maple Leafs will wear a patch on their jerseys for the next two games to pay tribute to legendary NHL head coach Pat Quinn.
Quinn, 71, died Sunday night in Vancouver after a lengthy illness. He coached the Leafs from 1998 to 2006 and simultaneously served as general manager from 1999 to 2003.
Quinn made the playoffs six of his seven seasons with the Leafs, finishing with a 41-39 record in 80 post-season games.
His 300 regular season wins with Toronto ranks second all-time (behind only Punch Imlach) in Leafs’ history.
