Seriously: Rangers could give Kaberle a look

For the New York Rangers, desperate times call for desperate measures.

With injuries on the blue line mounting the club is left to explore some interesting avenues in search of help. Tomas Kaberle could join the Rangers for practice on Wednesday.

The Rangers are currently without Dan Boyle (broken hand), Ryan McDonagh (separated shoulder), Kevin Klein (left foot contusion), and John Moore (suspension). Even with the club having exhausted its depth from Hartford of the AHL, Kaberle seems like a bit of a stretch.

Kaberle, who last played with the Montreal Canadiens for 10 games in 2012-13, made it known this past summer that he was looking to resume his NHL career. His status as a productive NHL defenceman evaporated rapidly after he was traded to the Boston Bruins by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2011.

The 36-year old skated with HC Kladno of the Czech League last season, totaling four goals and 24 points in 48 games.
