Lightning captain Steven Stamkos day-to-day with lower-body injury

Steven Stamkos left the game against the Predators and will not return after getting tangled up in the crease.

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has been listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, the team announced Monday.

Stamkos was forced to leave Sunday’s 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators after getting tied up in front of his own net during the second period.

The 28-year-old has 27 goals and 86 points in 78 games this season.
