The Tampa Bay Lightning have lost defenceman Victor Hedman and forward Pat Maroon to injuries against the New York Rangers.

Hedman’s injury was not disclosed by the team but he didn’t return from the room when the teams came back for the start of the second period.

Maroon was injured in a first-period fight with Michael Haley.

The two injuries come after Anthony Cirelli was kept out of the lineup with his own undisclosed injury. Brayden Point was also questionable to play, but he ultimately was healthy enough to not miss the game.
