Lightning wear new jerseys – what do you think?

The Tampa Bay Lightning wore their new third jersey for the first time this season when they hosted the San Jose Sharks at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday.

The new look sees the return of black as the primary colour of the jersey, with “Bolts” emblazoned diagonally in white along the front.

Although black has long been a part of the Lightning’s jersey, it has been largely absent since the start of the 2011-12 season when the club revised their logo and look.

The new design has also led to a social media campaign of #BoltsInBlack by the Lightning’s official twitter account where fans can express their thoughts on the new look and it quickly became a trending topic in Tampa Bay.
