The Tampa Bay Lightning‘s Andrei Vasilevskiy has won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goalie.
It is the first win for the 24-year-old, who was a finalist for the award last season.
The Dallas Stars’ Ben Bishop and New York Islanders’ Robin Lehner were runners up to Vasilevskiy.
Vasilevskiy posted a league leading 39 wins in 53 games and lost consecutive starts just once all season. Overall, Vasilevskiy was top 10 in the league in shutouts (six), save percentage (.925), and goals-against average (2.40). He is the first Lightning netminder to win the Vezina.
