Lightning’s Hedman to have upper-body injury re-evaluated in 1 week

Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman will have his upper-body injury re-evaluated in one week, the team has announced. Additionally, forward Ondrej Palat is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Hedman, last year’s Norris trophy winner, was injured Friday on a hit from Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reeves. Hedman left the game after the hit and did not return. You can watch a video of the hit at the top of this page.

The 27-year-old has two goals and four points in nine games this season.

Palat also didn’t finish Friday’s game, leaving in the third period after blocking a shot. In nine games this season, the 27-year-old has five assists.
