Tampa Bay Lightning star Steven Stamkos has been ruled out for the team’s round-robin game vs. the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, coach Jon Cooper told reporters Tuesday.

Stamkos missed the Lightning’s first round-robin game Monday, a 3-2 shootout victory over the Washington Capitals.

The 30-year-old pivot has been dealing with a lower-body injury since the team’s Phase 2 skates.

Stamkos had 29 goals and 66 points in 57 games before suffering a core muscle injury earlier this year.
