Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman will not play against the Detroit Red Wings and is listed as day to day with a lower-body injury, the team announced Sunday.
Hedman suffered an undisclosed injury Saturday against the Boston Bruins. He attempted to play through the injury, but logged just 4:36 of ice time and ended up sitting on the bench for much of the game.
Hedman is considered questionable to suit up for Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 29-year-old Norris Trophy winner has 11 goals and 55 points in 66 games this season with the Lightning.
