Kings throw unusual pitch at Dodgers game

Three professional Los Angeles sports team gathered on one field on Wednesday.

The NHL champion Los Angeles Kings were honoured prior to the L.A. Dodgers’ interleague home game versus the L.A. Angels.

The Kings, who brought the Stanley Cup with them to Dodger Stadium, threw out the first pitch en masse. The hockey players sported white Kings jerseys and blue Dodgers caps — even defenceman Drew Doughty, who typically wears a Toronto Blue Jays cap.

The Angels defeated the Dodgers 2-1 in dramatic fashion, scoring the winning run in the ninth inning.
