The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2020 from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for the rights to forward Nolan Vesey.

Edmonton then signed Vesey to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The 23-year-old Vesey appeared in 37 games for the University of Maine Black Bears during the 2017-18 season and registered 11 goals and 14 assists. The Maple Leafs selected him in the sixth round of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Vesey is the brother of New York Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey.
