Just before NHL training camp opens, fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs can get a look at some of the team’s prospects at the Rookie Showdown at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec.
The prospect tournament, which includes the Leafs, Canadiens and Senators runs next week.
Toronto will be sending 17 forwards, 11 defencemen and two goaltenders. Seven of the players they chose in the 2018 NHL Draft will be in attendance, including first-rounder Rasmus Sandin who was chosen 29th overall out of the OHL’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
The Leafs will play Montreal at 3 p.m. on Sept. 8 and Ottawa at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9.
