Maple Leafs Auston Matthews says in his mind he’s ready to return to the lineup, but has to get the okay from the team’s medical staff first.

Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews says he’s good to go on Wednesday when his team faces the San Jose Sharks.

The star forward hasn’t played since leaving an Oct. 27 contest with a shoulder injury, and would still need to be medically cleared before returning to the lineup.

The 21-year-old has 10 goals and six assists in 11 contests this season.
