Ceci has been sidelined since early February with an ankle injury, while Rielly suffered a fractured foot in January that was projected to keep him out of the lineup for eight weeks.
Word of a potential return for either Ceci or Rielly came after Toronto suffered a scare with Tyson Barrie in the first period of Saturday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Barrie was on the receiving end of an Andrei Svechnikov hit that forced him to go to the dressing room. He returned for the start of the second period.
In 54 games with Toronto this year, Ceci has scored one goal and added seven assists. Rielly, in 46 appearances, has three goals and 24 assists.
