Maple Leafs’ Frederik Andersen to start vs. Stars

Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen is good to go, and will make his return against the Dallas Stars, and talks about staying patient through the healing process, which was easier because the team was winning.

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen will return from a neck injury to start against the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

Andersen, 30, has been out of the Maple Leafs lineup since suffering the injury on Feb. 3 against the Florida Panthers. The Herning, Denmark native is 24-9-6 in 42 starts this season with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.

The Maple Leafs acquired Jack Campbell from the Los Angeles Kings during Andersen’s time on the sidelines. Campbell, 28, has started the last three games for Toronto, going 2-0-1 with a 2.53 GAA and a .918 save percentage.
