Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen has been fined $2,000 for diving/embellishment, the NHL announced on Thursday.

The incident in question occurred during Toronto’s 6-3 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Dec. 31 at 7:30 of the second period when Andersen was clearing the puck from behind his net. Golden Knights forward David Perron appeared to clip Andersen’s skate during the clearance, and the Leafs goalie tumbled into his own net.

This was Andersen’s second infraction, as the 28-year-old had already been given a warning for an incident against the Carolina Hurricanes on Nov. 24. Under NHL Rule 64, a second citation warrants an automatic $2,000 fine.
