Toronto Maple Leafs winger Kasperi Kapanen is sitting out the team’s tilt against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

He was replaced in the lineup by Dmytro Timashov.

The 23-year-old wasn’t sidelined for injury reasons.

Kapanen suffered an arm injury during the Leafs’ 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday, but did not miss a game, playing 14:47 against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.

In 51 games this season he has 10 goals and 28 points

Kapanen’s name has been thrown into trade rumours with the Leafs suffering a number of key injuries to their D-corps.
