The Toronto Maple Leafs have loaned defenceman Teemu Kivihalme to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, the team announced on Saturday.

Kivihalme has three goals and four assists in 28 appearances with the Marlies. The 24-year-old has yet to play in the NHL.

The American-Finnish defender was signed to a one-year, entry-level deal by the Leafs this past off-season.
