Maple Leafs’ Mason Marchment to make NHL debut Thursday vs. Jets

It's a dream come true for Mason Marchment, who's set to make his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs, and says he wouldn't be up here today if it wasn't for Sheldon Keefe and skating consultant, Barb Underhill.

Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mason Marchment will make his NHL debut on Thursday night when the Leafs visit the Winnipeg Jets.

Marchment was called up by the Leafs on Wednesday.

In 11 games this season with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, Marchment has two goals and two assists. He has been part of the Leafs organization since 2016, but has never appeared in an NHL game.

Marchment played most of his Marlies career under current Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe.

Toronto is playing its first game of 2020 on Thursday after ending 2019 with points in eight consecutive games.
