Watch as Dmytro Timashov fires past Jaroslav Halak to score his first career goal, putting the Maple Leafs up 2-0 on the visiting Bruins.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dmytro Timashov was one of five players placed on waivers Sunday.

Others on waivers include forward Tim Schaller of the Los Angeles Kings, defenceman Hubert Labrie of the Ottawa Senators, forward Andrew Agozzino of the Pittsburgh Penguins and defenceman Julian Melchiori of the New Jersey Devils.

Timashov, 23, is in his first season with the Maple Leafs after spending three years with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. He has nine points in 39 games this season but hasn’t played since Feb. 18.

Schaller, 29, was acquired by the Kings from the Vancouver Canucks in the Tyler Toffoli trade. He’s appeared in two games with the Kings and 51 with the Canucks this season.

Labrie, 28, has never played in the NHL but has skated in 43 games for the AHL’s Belleville Senators this season, where he has eight points and 34 penalty minutes.

Agozzino, 29, has appeared in 16 NHL games — 15 of which have occurred since the calendar flipped to 2020. He also has 33 points in 37 AHL games this season.

Melchiori, 28, signed an NHL-level contract with the Devils on Sunday. In 54 games with the AHL’s Binghamton Devils this season, he has 13 points.
