The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo on waivers, the team announced Saturday.

Kaskisuo, 25, first signed on a two-way, entry-level contract with Toronto in 2016. He inked a two-year, two-way contract with the club in May 2018.

The native of Vantaa, Finland, posted a 12-14-1 record with a 3.07 goals-against average in 30 games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies last season.

The Maple leafs also announced they assigned netminder Brandon Halverson to the Marlies. The 23-year-old was taken by the New York Rangers with a second-round pick in 2014 NHL Draft.
