The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed forward Trevor Moore on injured reserve and Pierre Engvall has been recalled from AHL Toronto in a corresponding move.
Moore, 24, suffered a shoulder injury in Friday’s loss to the Boston Bruins and he didn’t travel with the team to Pittsburgh on Saturday for the first game of their six game road trip. Moore has three goals and five points in 21 games this season.
Engvall, 23, has never played an NHL game. He has seven goals and 16 points in 15 AHL games this season.
The Maple Leafs continue their road trip Tuesday in Vegas against the Golden Knights.
