Maple Leafs planning to recall Calle Rosen from Marlies

Mike Babcock addresses the media ahead of Monday night's contest against the Florida Panthers, mentioning that Calle Rosen will get his chance with the Toronto Maple Leafs later this week, and that Gardiner and Dermott are nearing return from injury.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are planning to recall defenceman Calle Rosen next weekend, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.

Toronto wants Rosen to play another game for its AHL affiliate, the Marlies, before being recalled.

In 53 AHL games this season, he’s scored seven goals and added 38 assists.

Rosen, 25, signed a two-year, $1.5 million contract extension with the Maple Leafs in December.

He has one assist in four career NHL appearances, all of them coming during the 2017-18 season.
