The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled forward Josh Leivo from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.
Leivo, who missed time earlier this season with a lower-body injury, saw his conditioning stint come to an end after the Marlies’ loss to the St. John’s Ice Caps Saturday.
The 23-year-old has yet to play for the Leafs the season but has eight points (seven goals, one assist) in 28 games played with the big club.
The Leafs are expected to make a corresponding roster move on Monday to make room for Leivo.
Toronto (8-7-3) next plays Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes (6-6-4).
