Maple Leafs sign Brandon Prust, Raman Hrabarenka to PTOs

Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello confirmed reports that Toronto had signed Brandon Prust to a tryout contract on Prime Time Sports. He also announced that they have also signed Raman Hrabarenka to a PTO as well.

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello confirmed on Monday that the team has signed forward Brandon Prust and defenceman Raman Hrabarenka to professional tryouts.

Lou Lamoriello tells PTS that he sat down with Brandon Prust this summer before extending him a PTO with #Leafs. "There's no risk involved."

Defenceman Raman Hrabarenka also headed to #leafs training camp on a PTO. Lamoriello familiar with him from #NJDevils organization.

Prust, a member of the Vancouver Canucks last season, had one goal and six assists in 35 games before he was waived in February.

Hrabarenka, 23, was most recently a member of the New Jersey Devils, but played with their AHL affiliate — the Albany Devils — last year. He racked up nine points and a plus-9 rating.
