Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Timothy Liljegren has been designated as “unfit to play,” the team announced Monday.
The Leafs prospect was absent from the team’s first skate of training camp. He was the only player missing from the morning session.
Liljegren made his NHL debut this season, registering an assist in 11 games. In 40 games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, the 21-year-old had five goals and 30 points.
