Maple Leafs’ Tyler Ennis suffers broken ankle in win over Rangers

Tyler Ennis exited the Maple Leafs game with an apparent ankle injury.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Ennis suffered a broken ankle in Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers.

Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock announced the injury after the game. It is unclear how long Ennis will be out for.

Ennis sustained the injury during the second period after taking a Morgan Rielly point shot off of his foot. He was playing on the fourth line beside Frederik Gauthier and Par Lindholm.
