The Toronto Marlies have made forward Tim Connolly a healthy scratch Wednesday, prompting speculation he could be on the move at the NHL Trade Deadline.

Connolly was sent down to the AHL by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the beginning of the 2013 season.

After scoring five goals in his first eight AHL games, Connolly has not scored in his last 13 games.

The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract, which has a salary cap hit of $4.75 million, and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Connolly signed a two-year, $9.5 million deal with the Leafs in the summer of 2011.

In 70 games with the Leafs last year, Connolly scored 13 goals, 23 assists, and had a minus-14 rating.
