Max Domi left bloody after rough night

Watch as things get worse and worse for Max Domi, first taking a huge hit and then taking a shot to the face, leaving him a bloody mess on the bench.

Arizona Coyotes forward Max Domi is having an excellent rookie season, as his 23 points in 29 games has him second among first-year NHLers.

Friday was not his night however, as two incidents in the third period of Arizona’s game against the Minnesota Wild left the 20-year-old a little worse for wear.

First, he falls face first into Minnesota Wild defenceman Marco Scandella, leaving Domi bloody on the bench.

Then, two of his teammates conspired to take him out, with Jordan Martinook deflecting Connor Murphy‘s shot right into Domi’s nose.

Domi left the game briefly, but was able to return.

In the end, he’ll be happy to know that his blood was not spilled needlessly as his team won in overtime thanks to Mikkel Boedker‘s heroics.
