Max Pacioretty leaves game after taking puck to face

Max Pacioretty’s visor may have saved him after he got hit in the face by a PK Subban slap shot from the point.

Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty has left Tuesday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and will not return after being hit in the face by a P.K. Subban slapshot.

The shot came just over 10 minutes into the second period, after the Canadiens won a faceoff in the Columbus zone.

Subban one-timed a shot that went right into Pacioretty who had to be helped off the ice.

The Canadiens were already without forward Daniel Carr, when it announced he would miss the next three months with a knee injury.

Pacioretty leads the Canadiens in points (36) and goals (19).
