The Toronto Maple Leafs activated forward Mike Brown from the injured reserve prior to Thursday’s 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Brown, who was on the IR with a strained shoulder, has not played since a Jan. 29 game against the Buffalo Sabres.
In five games played this season the 27-year-old has registered zero points, an even plus/minus rating and 29 penalty minutes.
Brown was a healthy scratch against the Hurricanes Thursday and there is no word on whether or not he will be in the Leafs’ lineup on Saturday when the team hosts the Ottawa Senators.
