Bruins’ Ference punks teammate Lucic

Heeeeey… youuuuu… guuuuuuuys!

Imposing tough guy Milan Lucic probably awoke, checked the Boston Bruins’ Instagram feed and tried to throttle the snake on the plane who photo-bombed him next to Sloth, the friendly monster from cinema’s The Goonies.

The culprit?

“AF21,” better known as alternate captain Andrew Ference, who says 1,000 words with this capture of his sleeping teammate juxtaposed with one the ’80s most lovable/grotesque figures.

It was a long flight westbound for the defending champs, who are in the midst of a three-game road trip in California, home of Hollywood, the magical city from which Sloth was conceived.

While cynics bemoan the modern pro athlete’s (over)use of social media – and, really, would you lose sleep if Ochocinco shut down his Twitter account? – Ference’s 2012 equivalent of drawing lewd, hastily designed Sharpie images on the first guy to crash out is fun stuff.

If you focus hard enough, you can hear Ryan Miller quietly chuckling to himself.
