Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri will have a hearing with the NHL department of player safety on Monday for cross-checking Detroit Red Wings forward Luke Glendening in the head.
Kadri caught Glendening up high in front of the Toronto net in the first period of Saturday night’s game.
The two got into a bit of a shoving match in the corner before Kadri retaliated with the cross-check.
Glendening was went down, but wasn’t injured on the play, while Kadri received a minor penalty.
On Friday, the young centre was handed down $5,000 in fines for his second and third diving/embellishment citation of the season.
